Crafted during my inaugural design class at Pratt Institute, this wooden architectural model represents my first major project, an exploration of architectural principles through the lens of contrast and harmony. The solid, white upper volume stands in stark contrast to the transparent base of delicate columns, a metaphor for the balance between strength and lightness. Surrounding wooden blocks signify the environmental landscape, delineating the structure's context. Lacking detailed scale, the model serves more as a study of spatial relationships and volumetric design, capturing the essential architectural dialogue between form and function, a testament to the foundational lessons of my design education at Pratt.
