In the second semester of my first year, I embarked on an architectural endeavor that reimagines the relationship between structure and nature, designing a building that gracefully accepts the flow of water. My project centers around folded forms, poised on support bracing, which rise above the ground to reveal new spaces as they intentionally flood. This deliberate flooding is not a destructive force, but a transformative one, where water becomes the architect, reshaping the environment and inviting occupants to experience the space in a fluid, ever-changing dance. This structure is more than a static edifice; it is a living, adaptive organism that embodies my architectural philosophy: to not only inhabit the landscape but to become one with its natural rhythms.
